Our Reviews

“The very first page grabbed my attention. This talks about how we may experience feeling off balance as we get older. This hit home to me as I find myself grabbing on the stair banister going up and down the stairs. This book is based on research and gives many practical ideas on ways to do exercises during every day life. It includes a variety of exercises as well. I am 65 and have arthritis in my neck, back, hip knees and tail bone. Susie explains how important movement is and demonstrates the variety of exercises that anyone can do with directions and photographs. The M.O.V.E. Method (Mobility, Optimization, Vitality, and Engagement) is explained in a way for the reader to incorporate it in our every day lives.. "

“I'm 63 and am working on my own balance, and I also teach balance as a health coach and Functional Aging Specialist for clients at midlife and beyond. So often, people 40+ realize that their balance is worsening, but they either think nothing can be done or they don't know how to address. This book provides simple, practical and much-needed answers. In a warm, engaging and encouraging manner, the author explains why balance declines and exactly what to do about it, with clear illustrations, plans and a printable guide. She also includes much-needed habit change and mindset -- without those, even the best information doesn't help us. I highly recommend this book!

“This book is perfect for my needs. I love the fact we can download exercises and that the appendix shows what exercises are best for each part of my day. I am at an age where my balance is not the best, so this book came in time! The fact that Susie not only is helping us with physical work but that she addresses the mental part as well.

“I needed to read this book, because I just had back surgery recently. The information I read was invaluable, as it taught me how to properly carry myself so I would be able to recover my flexibility and strength. I've spent many years unable to move without pain, and now that I can move I want to do it correctly, with balance, so I can stay healthy into my very old age.

“Wow! This book couldn’t have come at a more perfect time for me! Now in my 55+ years and just diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and arthritis in my lower back…I need this book! I’m gingerly stepping into these exercises, as I recognize that lack of core strength is a major reason for my back problems. This book clearly and compellingly describes why balance and core strength are so important as we age.
